That line has stuck with me for years. It's the reason I say yes to the trip, take the long way round, and stop to look at the old door nobody else notices.

My working life has always crossed borders. For over 15 years I've helped brands sell online in markets around the world, and I've been hooked on the internet's version of the high street the whole time.

Manchester is where I've built my life. The Quays in autumn, the music, the people, the grey skies I've grown fond of, and a whole continent of places a short flight away. This site is a small corner of the internet for both sides of me: the work I love and the life around it.

The best part of travelling isn't the view. It's the people.

Manchester is one of the most mixed cities in Britain, and I love that about it. You can hear a dozen languages in an afternoon, and Diwali, Eid, Christmas and Pride all light up the same year. Through work I've collaborated with teams across the UK, Europe and Asia, and on the road I've shared meals and long conversations with people from Iceland to Vietnam, Turkey to Nepal.

Different faiths, languages, skin colours and ways of life. And underneath, the same things: people want to be heard, to feed their guests, and to tell you about the place they love.

For 15+ years I've helped brands sell online across international markets. Today I do it from Manchester, across the UK and Europe. I like the mix of it: half numbers, half people, and always something to fix before lunch.
